  13. After some 45 minutes on hold with USR sales to >ask< whether the 33.6
  14. upgrade is available for their internal 28.8 Sportsters, I have a) decided
  15. to never buy a USR modem again, and b) to only order this upgrade
  16. (spending time on hold, lord knows how long) if I can get SOMEONE to
  17. confirm that it's available for the internals....  (USR's web pages, and
  18. the ftp copy of the press release, all say "desktop models" which is
  19. vague).  I've had a good look at the board and finding a programmable ROM
  20. on it with a version sticker, I suspect the upgrade would be available. 
  21. But I have dealt with USR's strange world before (the
  22. here-now-gone-now-here SYSOP program).

  24. Can anyone confirm they've gone the upgrade route successfully with a 
  25. V.34 28.8 Sportster internal?
